Title IX
In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and under the regulations set forth in Chapter 106 of Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations (鈥淭itle IX Regulations鈥), the 黑料社APP does not discriminate on the basis of sex, (including sexual orientation or transgender identity) , in its programs and activities, including but not limited to employment opportunities, educational programs or activities, e.g., extracurricular activities, student services, academic counseling, discipline, classroom assignment, grading, athletics, transportation, etc.
Title IX Prohibits the following at school and at school functions:
- Sexual Harassment *:聽Unwelcome conduct determined by a reasonable person to be so severe, pervasive, and objectively offensive that it effectively denies a person equal access to the district鈥檚 education program or activity;
- Online sexual harassment, intimidation, or bullying:聽sending or distributing explicit images (sexting), pornography, sextortion, or other sexual content elicited with or without consent (when under 18), or by coercion, threat or intimidation (sextortion).
- Sexual assault*:聽an offense classified as a forcible or nonforcible聽sex offense under the uniform crime reporting system of the Federal Bureau of Investigation;
- Dating violence*:聽violence committed by a person who is or has been in a social relationship of a romantic or intimate nature with the victim and where the existence of such a relationship shall be determined based on a consideration of the length of the relationship, the type of relationship and the frequency of interaction between the persons involved in the relationship;
- Domestic Violence*:聽felony or misdemeanor crimes of violence committed by a current or former spouse or intimate partner of the victim, by a person with whom the victim shares a child in common, by a person who is cohabitating with or has cohabitated with the victim as a spouse or intimate partner, by a person similarly situated to a spouse of the victim under the domestic or family violence laws of the jurisdiction receiving grant monies, or by any other person against an adult or youth victim who is protected from that person鈥檚 acts under the domestic or family violence laws of the jurisdiction; or
- Stalking*:聽engaging in a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person fear for the person鈥檚 own safety or the safety of others, or suffer substantial emotional distress.
- Discrimination聽based on sexual orientation, gender and/ or gender-identity:聽bullying, intimidation, harassment based on perceived or gender identity, sexual orientation or other protected class that has the effect of interfering with a student鈥檚 education or that creates an intimidating, offensive, or hostile environment at school.
- Discrimination聽based on pregnancy or parenting status:聽discrimination or unequal access to educational programs or opportunities based on pregnancy or parenting status
- Gender inequity聽in athletics or education programs:聽unequal access based on sex to athletics, co-curricular or educational programs; inequitable access to facilities, participation, scholarships, or other educational benefits.

If an employee or student believes that he or she has been discriminated against in violation of Title IX, please reference the 黑料社APP鈥檚 Title IX Grievance Procedures regarding Anti-Harassment, Non-Discrimination, Sexual聽Violence, and/or Equal Employment policies, which are outlined in Board of Education Policy available on the 黑料社APP鈥檚 website, and on request from the Office of Human Resources.
Reporting Prohibited Behavior
Members of the school district community who believe that a Title IX violation may have occurred, should discuss their concerns and/or file a complaint with a 黑料社APP鈥檚 Title IX coordinator.

Filing Formal Complaints of Title IX Sexual Harassment
As required by the Title IX Regulations, the 黑料社APP has established a formal grievance process for investigating and resolving 鈥渇ormal complaints鈥 of 鈥渟exual harassment,鈥 as those terms are defined in the regulations. Additional requirements for formal complaints of Title IX sexual harassment, including a description of the required content for a formal complaint, are set forth in Board of Education Policy 1710.
